Rachael and Steve’s wedding at Eolia Mansion, catered by Gourmet Galley, brought an autumn-themed fairy tale to life. With autumn florals and gold accents, it was only natural to also have a beautifully gilded, autumn wedding cake. All three tiers were frosted with vanilla French buttercream and then accented with fondant — the middle tier with ivory ruffles and the top and bottom tiers with hand-painted edible metallic gold leaves and vines. Fondant ivory and gold pumpkins also accented the ledges between the tiers. Each tier was a different scrumptious flavor — golden cake with cannoli filling, chocolate cake with raspberry buttercream filling (pictured above), and, of course, pumpkin spice cake with cinnamon cream cheese filling. The bride provided a rustic wooden cake stand with the couples’ monogram and a topper that summed up their special day, “Love, Laughter, and Happily Ever After” in gold sparkles.
